What is Cuts & Cups?
Cuts & Cups is a bi-weekly editorial meet-up that rotates around the greater LA area. Our mission is to create a tight knit LA editorial community to support all those in our field and entering it. We hope that you will come meet us at our Thursday meet-ups or at one of our weekend pop-up events.

In 2021, I arrived in LA for my first big Hollywood editorial job and I knew no one. I was searching for people to be with, to share my new experiences in this big city, and to learn from. I was quick to get involved with IATSE Local 700, join the Apprenticeship committee, and through that I discovered how much a casual space where Editors and To-Be-Editors could gather. In Fall of 2023, I sent out an email to a list of friends proposing we have a meet-up. I called it cuts & cups. I was shocked at how fast the word got out and by six months, the mailing list on my notes app had over a hundered people on it. It was about this time that Bailey, my now-wife, jumped into get the group a formal mailchimp account and social media. Since then, we have grown from that first group of 20 to a mailing list of over 800 people and a bi-weekly attendence of about 50 people.
Cuts & Cups today, as it always has been, is a gathering that connects artists, art lovers, and industry professionals from across the our community. Expect a crowd of welcoming people of all levels of experience. This space is for you. This space is for everyone.
